Gordon Clifford Barlow lived and worked in Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales, and most of his paintings are of rural landscapes in Yorkshire and elsewhere. He studied and later taught at Bradford School of Art. He exhibited at galleries in London and across the country.
Condition: The painting appears to have been unframed for a while and there is some damage to the corners of the board it is painted on, though this is only really apparent from the rear when it is in the frame. The frame is hand -painted and has a few minor signs of wear. It is currently missing a hanging cord/wire - one will be fitted prior to sale/delivery (I have run out at the moment!)
Dimensions:
Including the frame, 57cm wide, 47cm tall, 2.5cm deep. The image size is approximately 49cm wide by 39cm tall.
