I’m not sure of the age of this panel, but would estimate early 20th century. The carving is beautiful - the whole panel is covered in deep foliate designs. The panel already had edging along the long edges and we have added matching edging to the short edges where we had to trim it. We have cut it in such a way that the pattern is centralised.
Condition: This was previously a door and there was a hole cut for a handle, which we have filled in, but can still be seen - it is on the bottom edge in the photos. There are also some holes in the edge where hinges were fitted which we have filled in. There was a split along the length of the panel which we have repaired and it is now solid, but it is still visible.
