This is a very appealing little desk and ticks a lot of boxes for me - beautiful timber, nicely made, and a lovely rich colour. The main drawer even has a working lock and key!
Condition: There is a very neat repair to the rear left leg (as you are looking at it) - it looks as though the leg has broken where it joins the body of the desk, and a replacement piece of timber has been turned to match the leg and spliced in. I always find good repairs quite evocative as they show someone cared enough to go to the effort/cost of repairing. Otherwise there is nothing of note other than general minor surface wear and patina. All the drawers open and close easily, and it’s good and solid.
