A late 18th century Dutch delftware blue and white ‘peacock’ plate, with a yellow ochre rim. The plate has the ‘Three Bells’ (De Drie Klokken) mark on the rear, indicating that it was made by the De Drie Klokken factory which operated between approximately 1670 and 1841. Condition: As mentioned above this plate has had an accident at some point in its life and has been repaired. There is a large section of the rim where two pieces have been reattached and a repaired crack that runs through the centre of the plate. It also has some minor damage around the rim as is typical with antique delft plates. It is still a pretty plate though, and the damage is not obvious until you look closely.
