A mid 19th century three section spice tower in sycamore. The lid and the three sections screw together to hold a different type of spice in each compartment.
An attractive and fully useable item - when we acquired it it had nutmegs, cumin seeds and mustard seeds in the three compartments.
The labels on each section are mostly worn away and there is a repaired crack in the bottom two sections. It screws together easily with no awkward/sticky points and has a lovely colour and patina. The turning is beautifully done, especially on the lid.
The spice tower measures 9cm in diameter and 15.8cm tall.
