I was planning to make a circular wooden frame for this so it could be displayed as a piece of art, but then thought that might prevent its use as a window, so have decided to leave it as it is. Its a very pretty thing - not something I would usually buy but I just couldn’t resist it when I saw it!
Condition: The stained glass panel is sandwiched between two outer layers of glass. The stained glass piece itself is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. The outer pieces have some minor chips around the perimeter. I believe the double glazed unit has failed as there are some escaped silica beads (please see the photos), hence why I think it would be best as a decorative piece or as in internal window, but I am no expert on windows so don’t know if the escaped silica beads are a problem, or if it can be fixed. I assume the stained glass panel itself could be removed but again I don’t know enough about it to be sure.
