We acquired this little table from a local property and the colour and finish were nothing thrilling, but I really liked its elegant shape and very quickly decided to paint it. I’ve always loved tulips so decided to include those in the design and after a bit of experimentation arrived at this design, which hopefully echoes the curved lines of the table. The base colour is a mixture of several Annie Sloan paint colours (from memory Aubusson Blue, Capability Green, and Old White) and has proved difficult to photograph - in natural daylight I think the colour is a little greener and slightly duller than shown in the photos. The design uses various colours including Amsterdam Green, Old White and Jaipur Pink. I lightly distressed the paint in places where it would receive wear naturally through handling then applied a craquelure varnish and finally a white wax to enhance the cracks and give the table a soft lived in appearance, with some very lightly applied dark wax in corners and around the feet.
Condition: Good condition - see above regarding paint finish.
